Greetings Friends of The FARM,

Because of your generosity The FARM Institute provides year round opportunities for students to use all of their senses to learn how to care about animals, the land and each other. The more they can touch, smell, and taste the things they are learning about, the more deeply they will understand and remember what they learn. I am writing to you in conjunction with our annual appeal and ask that you please include us in your giving this season.

TFI is excited about developing new opportunities to directly connect the community to the production of food. To ensure future generations are going to care about farms and the foods they eat they must be directly exposed to the cycles of food production. Knowing how to grow potatoes, how to tend to a flock of sheep or laying hens will be the cornerstone of education and empowerment that will support healthy food choices and healthy living in our community. The FARM Institute is committed to developing these skills and continuing our mission of teaching, nurturing and supporting all aspects of farm-based education.

With your support we are able to sustain the farm year after year. We invite you to come by the farm and see the cows you help to feed. Visit the summer camp you provide for families in need. Use the tools you provide for our community. See the impact your generosity will have on the Island, our children and our planet.
