The benefits of spending time on a farm are numerous. We hope to provide our students with learning experiences that positively shape their understanding of nutrition, natural resources, and the value of teamwork and responsibility.
Each day our Residential groups will participate in chores, meal preparation and farm and garden projects.
We host Residential Programs each Spring and Fall. If you are interested in bringing your group to The FARM please contact our Program Director, Cristina Pereira at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
2013 Residential Spring Program
We had a blast this spring learning alongside Williamsburg Collegiate & Ocean Hill Charter Schools.
The Farm Institute is grateful for all the kitchen help we got feeding the hungry teenagers from Ocean Hill Collegiate and Williamsburg Collegiate in Brooklyn. In addition to TFI staff who put in extra time, we had help from Jonathan Chatinover, Nan and Warren Doty, Redding Jackson, Kim Leaird, John and Kay Leaird, Chris and Barbara Murphy and Robert Tankard. Cash and Carry, Cronig's, Chilmark Chocolates and Grey Barn provided great help as well. Thanks to all for helping us make these visits so successful.
